2016 FRC Season – Stronghold

The 2016 challenge, Stronghold is a game where you have to breach the opponents’ defenses known as the outer works, weaken their tower with boulders and then capture it. There are three defenses; one that is permanent, one that changes according to the audience’s wish, and the last ones are chosen by the teams. There are more than 10,000 possible field configurations. Each time a robot crosses a defense undamaged, they receive 5 points. Robots earn 5 points for scoring a high goal, and 2 points for a low goal. In the last 20 seconds of the match, robots race to the opposing alliance’s tower to either climb on the bars for 15 points.
